President, the Institute of Future Studies for Development in Thailand
Prof. Dr. Kriengsak Chareonwongsak graduated with first class honors and obtained a PhD in Economics in 1981 at Monash University, Australia. He obtained Master degree in Public Administration from Harvard University, USA, Master Degree from Judge Business School, Cambridge University, and also studied D Phil (Doctor of Philosophy in Management) and Post Doctoral Studies (Policy Studies and Management) at the University of Oxford, UK. Presently, he is the President of the Institute of Future Studies for Development (IFD) in Thailand, which focuses on interdisciplinary future studies contributing to economic and national development. He is the Academic Dean, University of London, Thailand Centre, EMFSS Programs Led by London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), he is Chairman, Nation-Building Institute (NBI). He is a Senior Fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School, Harvard University. He has also been an Associate at the Weatherhead Centre for International Affairs, at Harvard. Besides, he has been a Visiting Fellow of the Oxford Internet Institute and a Fellow of the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford University's Said Business School. Dr. Kriengsak was an advisor to Prime Minister and an elected Member of Parliament. He has published more than 200 books and numerous articles, presented over 500 academic papers and 5000 newspaper & magazine articles.
