Special Advisor to the Minister of Trade on International Relations, Indonesia
Mr. Dody Edward obtained his Bachelor degree in Economics from Tarumanegara University, Indonesia. Upon graduating from Tarumanegara University, he won prestigious USAID postgraduate scholarship to study his Master of Arts in Economics from Georgia State University, Atlanta, United States of America in 2002.
Before assuming his post as the Special Advisor to the Minister of Trade on International Relations, he was assigned as Director General of Foreign Trade (July 2016 – January 2017), Director of Export Development Cooperation (July 2014 – July 2016), and Director of Product Export Development (January 2013 – July 2014) and prior to that served as Director of Product Export Development and Creative Economy (February 2011 – January 2013), Directorate General of National Export Development, Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia.
Build his career at Ministry of Trade, Mr. Dody has extensive experience in international trade and served several key position in the Ministry. He was assigned as Commercial Attaché in Seoul, South Korea from 2009 – 2011; Director of Indonesian Trade Promotion Center in Los Angeles, USA from 2007-2009; including Assistant to Commercial Attaché in Bonn, Germany from 1994 - 1996.
He has also completed his Advance Leadership Training that held by State Administrative Agency (LAN) on April 2013.
Mr. Dody was born in Maninjau, West Sumatera, Indonesia, on February 20th, 1960 and is married to Ida Nur Farida and has two children, Nanindya Ramadhina and Muhammad Dzaky Ivansyah.
